Things are not quite looking up for the Los Angeles Lakers right now. As the anticipated wait for the NBA resuming is seemingly anxiety stricken, guard Rajon Rondo has sustained a thumb injury while under the NBA bubble during the Lakers second team practice. Rondo has been playing for the Los Angeles Lakers since 2018 and has proven to be a possible addition to the team.
"What we have to understand about Rajon, losing Rajon is a huge loss for our team, but we expect Rajon to be a part of our playoff run," head coach Frank Vogel said on a video conference call with reporters Monday.

Rondo is due for surgery on the fractured thumb, with a recovery that'll last between six to eight weeks. This is not the first time that Rondo has sustained an injury during his time with the team. During the 2018-2019 season Rondo underwent separate surgeries to repair a fractured third metacarpal in his right hand and a torn ligament in his right ring finger. Yikes!
The team will miss rondo during his time away from the team, and have no intentions on replacing him during the revamp of the NBA season.
