February has proven to be the month for Lebron James, as he’s gotten dubs handed to him left and right. He has officially made history as the only player in the NBA to surpass Kareem Abdul-Jabbar, making him the all-time leading scorer in the NBA. This has been a huge feat for James, as Abdul-Jabbar held this prestigious title since his heyday for the Lakers in 1984. Prior to this, the all-time scorer was none other than the beloved champion Wilt Chamberlain.
Despite missing 11 games this season, James has already blown past Abdul-Jabbar's point total during his entire 20th and final season. The vivacious power forward has scored 1,326 points in 44 games in 2022-23; Abdul-Jabbar scored 748 for the 1988-89 season. Starting his career in the league in 2004, James was qualified as Rookie of the Year and hasn’t missed a beat since. With tenacity and skill on the court, he is deemed one of the greatest ballers in history. A living legend with 4 NBA Championships and deemed an All-Star at least 19-times, James continues to dominate the paint on and off the court.
